MontessoriTrac allows different types of accounts different privileges and levels of access. In addition, different accounts with different names and passwords allow MontessoriTrac to customize the accounts according to classes and students. A user may be assigned to a class and then only access the information pertaining to that class.
Users generally have access to all areas of the program. They may set the preferences, create records, and control the functions of MontessoriTrac. User accounts should only be created for those with top access to all student, teacher, and staff records.
Teachers may access their classes, curriculum, calendars, attendance, and student data. Classes are assigned to teachers in the teacher account; accessible when logged in as a user. The teachers may create schedules, lessons, homework, and track attendance.
Staff may access classes, curriculum, calendars, and attendance to assist users and teachers. Staff may create reports, schedules (calendar), attendance, lessons, homework, and progress reports, as well as access students' records. They may be linked to a particular class or have access to all students.
Student accounts are generally used by parents to access various classroom data pertaining to their children. Parents may access their child's lessons, homework, progress reports, and class schedule. They may also sign up for parent / teacher conferences.
Student accounts are assigned a username by default. It consists of the student's last name and an internal sequence code established by MontessoriTrac. They may access MontessoriTrac via the web after a password has been assigned to their record.
