SSL Module and Security

FitnessTrac enables you to secure the data being sent to and from the FitnessTrac server by installing the SSL module. The SSL module is compatible with SSL version 2 and 3 and TSL version 1 and is able to provide full 128 bit encryption for maximum security.

The SSL module is an inexpensive additional module to FitnessTrac and requires Redrock Software to issue a certificate key and a certificate file. These files have a life of 20 years and require no annual licensing fees.

How to Enable the SSL Module

To enable the SSL Module for FitnessTrac, you will need to receive a key and its certificate from Redrock. These files will be named Key.pem and Cert.pem. Upon receipt of the files, quit FitnessTrac and then place them in the FitnessTrac folder.

Then open Prefs.ini and find a preference called ServerPort2=, then change it to ServerPort2=443. Now find a preference called ServerProcs2= and change it to ServerProcs2=10. Reopen FitnessTrac when you are done.
